The “host” Al-Khaleej achieved its second victory in the tournament over its rival, the Bahraini Al-Najma (27-24) in the match to determine the places from 5-8, qualifying to face the Egyptian Al-Ahly team, which defeated Kuwaiti SC (35-25) to compete for fifth place IN the match to be held at 3:15 p.m.

The semi-finals witnessed the qualification of the two German clubs Füchse Berlin and Magdeburg to the final match to compete for the championship title. Berlin defeated Barcelona with a score of (35-34) after reaching overtime, while the Magdey overcame Kielce, with a score of (28-24).

In the placement matches from 9-12, Al-Noor, was able to achieve its first victory in the tournament over the Argentine team, San Fernando (31-29), while the American team, CalHeat, defeated Queensland, (27-22).

The final match will start at 8:15 pm between the “defending champion” team Magdeburg and Berlin, while Barcelona and Kielce will play for third place in the match that will take place at 5:30 pm.

In the placement match for the ninth and tenth places, Al-Noor will meet against CalHeat at 11:15 am, while Queensland will face San Fernando team 9:15 am, to determine the eleventh and twelfth places. In the match to determine the seventh and eighth places, Kuwait SC and Al-Najma will meet at 1:15 pm.

The semi-finals of the tournament witnessed the start of press conferences for the four semi-finalists, which were held inside the media center of the tournament.

After the first match, Berlin coach Jaron Siewert expressed his happiness with the victory and qualification, saying, "We played against a great team and great players like Barcelona, ​​and we were at the top of our level in the second half, and I am very grateful to the goalkeeper who saved a 7-meter throw at the end of the match."

On the other hand, Barcelona coach Juan Carlos Ortega considered that the match was decided on simple details, and that his team lacked continuity in attack, especially in the second half, congratulating Berlin on the win and qualification.

In the second match, Magdeburg's German coach, Bennett Weigert, expressed his happiness for the win and qualifying for the final, and said, "This is a wonderful and unusual achievement to reach the final for the third time in a row, especially since the match was difficult, but the mentality of the players and the substitute goalkeeper, who made a large number of saves, contributed to achieving the victory." .

Kielce coach Talant Dujshebaev congratulated Magdeburg, and said: “We fought for 60 minutes and the match was competitive, but our mistakes cost the match, and I would like to thank my team for their high spirit,” indicating that they will give everything they have to win against Barcelona and achieve the bronze medal.
