Saudi Arabia hosts the “Super Globe 2023” for the fourth time in a row

The Ministry of Sports, in cooperation with the Saudi Handball Federation, announced today, Thursday, September 28, 2023, the hosting and organization of the World Club Handball Championship “Super Globe 2023”, during the period from the 7th to the 12th of next November, in the Eastern Province, “Dammam”. For the fourth time in a row, after the same tournament was organized in the years 2019-2021-2022. In the sixteenth edition of the world championship, 12 teams will participate, representing 10 countries, in addition to the participation of representatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Al-Khaleej and Al-Nour teams, as this is the second time that the two teams will participate, after Al-Nour participated in the previous edition in Jeddah 2021 AD, while Al-Khaleej participated in the 15th edition of the tournament, which was held in Dammam 2022 AD, and achieved sixth place in the world. According to the system approved by the International Handball Federation, the following clubs will participate in the tournament: German Magdeburg, “the holder of the last edition’s title”, Polish Kelce, champion of the European continent, Bahraini star Al-Najma, champion of the Asian continent, Al-Ahly of Egypt, champion of the African continent, and San Fernando of Argentina, champion of South and Central America. , the American Cal Heat, the champion of North America and the Caribbean, and the Australian University of Queensland, the champion of Oceania, in addition to the Saudi League champion “Al-Khaleej” and its runner-up “Al-Nour”, while two nominated teams from the International Federation of the Game will participate, namely Barcelona of Spain and FOX Berlin of Germany, in addition to Kuwait of Kuwait. Champion of the Arab Championship.
